Comments from this year’s exhibitors:
Bruno Tumino, Technoparts: “This is our first time at MIMS. We chose MIMS because the Russian market is important and big so it deserves a deeper knowledge. We will present all our products, traditional and new items, all relating to the main brands we deal with (Fiat, Alfa, Lancia, Renault, Valeo, Bosch, etc). The Russian market, where we already have some exhibitors, could be very interesting for our company, to expand our business”.
Serajudin Ismail, Malaysian Consortium of Rubber Products, Malaysia: “In 2009, this will be the second time that we will be participating in MIMS. We exhibit in order to explore market opportunities in Eastern Europe and Russia for rubber automotive parts and rubber industrial hoses. We will be exhibiting rubber automotive replacement parts for a wide range of Japanese and Korean cars including radiator hoses for the same range of cars. We will also exhibit rubber automotive and industrial hoses. We need to meet the important and relevant players in the market of Russia and its neighbouring countries”.
Jaroslaw Gora, ERA S.p.A.: “ERA S.p.A has exhibited at MIMS every year from 2002. MIMS is the main exhibition for almost all countries within the former USSR, so for all companies interested in these markets, it is vital to be here. We will present all our products, but particular attention will be paid to our main product lines: ignition coils and ZEN starter drives. It is a very important market for our company and will be part of our strategy in the years to come”.
Pat S., Area Sales Manager, International Business Aeroflex International Co., Ltd.: “This is my first time at MIMS. It’s a big fair which I think Russians and people from CIS countries will visit. I will be displaying a hardtop and tonneau cover made from ABS. It’s a green product which can be recycled and Aeroflex is the first one in the world to make twin shell ABS. Russia is one of the most important markets for our company because we have the right product for Russia. The market is big and people can afford our quality product”.
Chin Wei Leong, Marketing & Development, Malaysian Rubber Export Promotion Council: “This is our first time exhibiting at MIMS. We heard from others that it is a good show for the automotive industry in Russia. We will be presenting tyre retreading materials and automotive parts”.
Shane Wride, Cooper Tires UK: “This is the first exhibition in Russia for our European division. It was viewed as the best show to exhibit at by all our Russian customers. We will be exhibiting a selection of car, 4x4, winter and motorcycle tyres from our portfolio of brands (Cooper, Avon, Mastercraft, Starfire, Mickey Thompson). We have several products that are being exhibited for the first time: Cooper car tyres Zeo CS6, CS2, Cooper 4x4 tyres Zeon 4XS, Discoverer M+S2 (winter 4x4). Last year, when we evaluated each market, the Russian market was highlighted as the market to support and raise our profile”.
Visuth Kasemmongkolporn, President Automobile Industries Co., Ltd.: “This is the first time for us to exhibit in this show. We knew that Russia is a big market for automotive spare parts, so we would like to expand our market into the Russian region together with Eastern Europe. Our main products will be automotive air-conditioning parts, mainly A/C condensers and evaporators, receiver driers. We are definitely very interested in the Russian market as it has a very big market for automotive spare parts and many used vehicles. Also our range of products is suited to this market”.
Manoj Gupta, Director of International Business Development, Brand – Megaseal: “This is Brans-Megaseal’s first participation as an exhibitor. In the past, we have been to MIMS as a visitor and found it to be perfect for showcasing our own products. It offers the right, or should I say, the perfect platform to showcase our brand and products to the right sets of clientele. It is well organised and appears to be well attended by our target audience. Brand-Megaseal is now the preferred aftermarket choice for gaskets and seals for all segments of engines, such as diesel heavy-duty vehicles, including heavy and light commercial vehicles (Vaz, Gaz, Maz and Kamaz), agricultural tractors (Russian and Belarussian tractors), stationary and marine engines and automotive cars of all makes, including Lada, etc. At MIMS this year, Brand-Megaseal will be showcasing/launching more engine parts, such as engine valves, cylinder liners, valve guides, rubber hoses and brake linings. For Brand -Megaseal, Russia is the largest growing market with immense business potential. We plan to work seriously in this market. We are very bullish as Russia is one of the least saturated automotive markets in the world. Only 20% of Russians own a car, the market is bound to show quantum growth in the coming years. During the slow-down, we need to prepare so that when the market picks up, our infrastructure is already in place to best serve our customers”.
Ruci Sutano, ADR Group of Companies: “This is the first time we’re exhibiting in MIMS. We think Russia is the best marketplace in the world. We will be presenting radiators and filters for automotive and heavy equipment”.
Z pozdrowieniami, Zaklad Mechaniczny Marek STEINHOF: “This will be our third participation in MIMS. MIMS is known to be one of the biggest fairs in the motor industry. We will present towbars, brake pads, brake shoes, brake discs and towbar accessories. We have a large network of customers in Russia. We are still searching for new contacts”.
Piotr Masajło, II sekretarz Ambasady RP w Moskwie, Trade and Investment Promotion Section Embassy of the Republic of Poland: “We have been present at MIMS twice. The exhibition is popular among the companies from Poland. We present materials received from Polish companies that are not able to be present at the exhibition. The Russian market is the only market we work in”.
Karolina Szwagierczak, Marketing Manager - Foreign Markets, Lotos Oil S.A.: “We have already exhibited twice. We have had very good experiences at this exhibition. We met a lot of our present partners there. We will be presenting our products in a new package with a refreshed logo. The Russian market is very important for our company. We are looking for partners to develop the sales of our products in small packages as we want to be in shops, markets and service stations or points of oil exchange”.
Liliana Baranowska, Prima Piston Ring Manufacturer S.A.: “We have been exhibiting regularly since 2002. In our opinion, it is the most important event for the automotive industry in Russia. We will be presenting piston rings. The Russian market is one of our priority markets”.
Monika Sączewska, Export Department, Magneti Marelli Aftermarket Sp. z o.o.: “We have exhibited at MIMS since 2003 so this will be our seventh time exhibiting in Moscow. MIMS is the largest exhibition for the automotive sector which takes place in Moscow. It is the best place to show and promote the Magneti Marelli products and offers the most effective way to increase brand awareness. Participating in MIMS will enable Magneti Marelli to meet up with current clients, find new clients and increase sales in the Russian market. This year, we will present a wide range of Magneti Marelli products: electric and electronic products, mechanical products and car body products as well. We will also present new ignition coils and gas springs. The Russian market is very important for our company, as in 2008, exports to Russia and Eastern countries constituted 35% of total export turnover. Russia is a huge market, so through participating in the exhibition, we are going to establish new trade relationships with potential clients”.
