The Russian LCV market remained in sixth place in Europe in 2017

The Russian LCV market, which showed the double-digit growth in the last year, nevertheless remained on the sixth place of the European rating. According to the European Association of Automobile Manufacturers (ACEA), sales of light commercial vehicles in Europe in 2017 grew by 3.9% up to 2 million 065 thousand 489 units.

The leader among European countries by sales of LCV up to 3.5 tons remains France, where this segment was 437,415 cars (7.1%). The second place is occupied by Great Britain with the indicator of 362,149 sold cars (-3.6%), and the third place – by Germany, whose LCV market was 270,694 units (+ 4.9%). The fourth result was shown by Spain – 199,101 light commercial vehicles (+ 15.5%). The top-five of leaders is closed by Italy, where there were sold 193,533 cars (-3.4%).

If we take Russia into consideration when considering the European LCV market, then our country remains on the sixth place in the European championship. According to the agency "AUTOSTAT", sales of light commercial vehicles in Russia were 108,437 units in 2017 (+ 16.7%).
